What is Orientation:
Run and think: orientation, sport for body and mind, at your fingertips with a map and a compass. Orientation is a sport in which the objective of each participant is to carry out in the shortest possible time a route marked on the map and on the ground by control points, generally with the help of a compass and choosing the best possible route for this.
And if you want to make the route more fun, using these same beacons, we have developed an Escape Room. It is true that, in this case, “Room” is not very appropriate, as you will have to solve all the puzzles along the paths and fields of the Park. In addition, you will be able to work on the Sustainable Development Goals and learn about the impact that the Basque Technology Parks have on them.
What are you waiting for? Here you have the website of this Escape-Tour.

The Park has several paths for walking, running or cycling. These red paths, called Bidegorri in basque, cross different areas of the Park where you can enjoy nature, the trees and the river.
Crossing different areas of the Park, Nordic walking consists of walking in a natural way while using poles accompanying the instinctive swinging of the arms. It is a gentle comprehensive technique that exercises 90 percent of the body’s muscles and a way to optimize the dynamics of the step, depending on the physical form of each person.
Its success lies in the fact that its practice is available to people of all ages and physical conditions.
In the Park, we have more than 5,000 trees of up to 87 different species. To make this little treasure available to everyone, we have designed several itineraries that present them and we have put plaques with information on them.
You can ask for the map at the Central Building of the Zamudio/Derio Campus or download it here. We also have a guide with more details about the trees.
