Places for the visit on Thursday 13 November are now full, but it is still possible to register for the visit on Friday 14 November, which will begin at 10:00 am at the CIC biomaGUNE building on the Donostia Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park.

The CIC biomaGUNE research centre, an international leader in the field of molecular imaging, invites the general public and professionals in the sector to discover how its work is carried out from the inside and to take a guided tour of the Molecular and Functional Imaging Unit.

Given the positive response to this activity, which is part of the Innovation Spaces initiative promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE), places for the visit on Thursday 13 November are now full, but you still have the opportunity to reserve your place for Friday 14 November at the following link.

This activity reinforces the Basque Country Technology Park’s commitment to scientific dissemination and bringing innovation closer to society, businesses and public administrations.

What will you see?

For an hour and a half, you will visit a leading European facility in the field of preclinical imaging.

You will see how new compounds are studied before they reach human clinical trials, and how chemistry, biology and physics are combined to advance health and biotechnology.

Tour of unique spaces

The cyclotron, which generates radioactive isotopes.

Reactors that transfer these isotopes into molecules or nanoparticles.

Tomography, X-ray and magnetic resonance imaging equipment.

Are you concerned about radioactivity? No problem!

The visit is completely safe and you will be accompanied at all times by facility staff who will explain how it works and give you the necessary instructions. As this is a controlled area, pregnant women and nursing mothers are not permitted to enter, and the minimum age requirement is 16 years old.

The activity is open to the general public upon prior registration!
