APTE and the Basque Country Technology Park strengthen the profile of the Parks in Beijing

On the occasion of the 42nd World Conference of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), held in Beijing (China), the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) participated in the world’s largest event dedicated to innovation.
The Basque Country Technology Park played a prominent role in this edition, where it presented the multi-campus evolution of the Basque Country Technology Park, among other aspects.
Beijing was the venue for the 42nd edition of the IASP World Conference, which brought together representatives of technology parks, innovation areas and entities linked to R&D&I with the aim of discussing the future of these spaces in a global context marked by digitalisation, sustainability and industrial transformation.
The Basque Country Technology Park, a member of APTE, actively participated in this edition through Cristina Andrés, Head of Marketing and Innovation. She spoke at the plenary session on Industrial development driven by innovation spaces, where she presented the multi-campus evolution of the Basque Country Technology Park and the new Bilbao Campus as a model of urban transformation and industrial promotion.


Throughout the World Conference, several representatives of APTE member science and technology parks and the association itself participated as speakers and moderators, contributing the vision and experience of the national ecosystem.
The participation of APTE members in this edition of the IASP conference highlighted the international reach of member science and technology parks, as well as their strategic role in economic development, attracting talent, digital and industrial transformation, and their capacity to develop new international collaboration strategies, for which attending this type of event is essential.
