5,900 pallet positions optimise the Galician company’s logistics capacity

A conventional pallet racking installation completed in just 3 weeks

AR Racking, a specialist in industrial storage solutions, has successfully completed a new logistics project in Galicia for Recambios Frain, a leader in the distribution of automotive components. The new warehouse, located in Lugo and with a total area of 4,000 m², has been designed to support the growth of the company, which sought to increase its storage capacity and improve operational efficiency.

The facility, developed by AR Racking’s engineering team, features a conventional pallet racking system that provides direct and quick access to all items. In total, 5,900 pallet positions have been set up in a 10-metre-high structure, adapted to accommodate pallets of different sizes and wheels, characteristic of Recambios Frain’s stock.

The solution was designed in close collaboration with the customer, including customised adjustments to maximise space utilisation and ensure agile and safe operations. The entire process, from planning to complete installation, was carried out in just three weeks, minimising the impact on the company’s daily activity.

‘Thanks to AR Racking’s solution, we have not only managed to expand our operational capacity, but also significantly reduce loading and unloading times. This is a key step forward in continuing to offer a smooth and high-quality service to our customers,’ says Francisco Dorado, manager of Recambios Frain.

“This project exemplifies our commitment to offering customised, high-quality solutions that boost our customers’ competitiveness. Working together with the Recambios Frain team has been essential to achieving an optimal result in record time,” says Ricardo García, project manager at AR Racking.

With this new warehouse, Recambios Frain strengthens its position in the Galician automotive market, while AR Racking consolidates its role as a strategic partner in high-performance logistics projects.
