Ayesa accompanies Chile’s Codelco, the world leader in copper production, in its digital transformation
The company is supporting the operation of the mining company’s legacy systems.
Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, is making steady progress in Chile by joining the technology pool of Codelco, one of the five largest mining companies in the world.
The leading international copper producer and leader in mineral reserves has awarded Ayesa the maintenance and upgrade services for its legacy systems, i.e. those corporate systems including invoicing and work orders.
Codelco is a privately managed public company and is considered the main driver of the national economy. Its operations are based on a set of applications that are currently distributed on different platforms.
Over the next five years, Ayesa will also integrate legacy systems with the new platforms under development. To this end, it will rely on technologies such as Legacy (.NET, PHP, Visual Basic, Oracle, SQL Server, Html.), SharePoint (2013, 2016, 2019 and online versions of Microsoft SharePoint), Bajo Código (Microsoft’s Power Platform suite) and Aveva Net.
This project is part of the digital transformation process in which Codelco will carry out improvements such as the automation of mine and plant production processes (RPA) and in the SAP area and business applications.
For Juan Ignacio Mena, IT director in Chile, “this project positions us as a reference in technology services in the country. Our vocation is to accompany our clients in their major transformation projects and with end-to-end services”.
