Ayesa Ingeniería will supervise Aramco’s new stadium in Saudi Arabia for the Asian and World Cups
This state-of-the-art facility will cover 850,000 square metres and will have the capacity to hold some 45,000 spectators.
Ayesa has extensive experience in the management of sports infrastructure projects, such as the Santiago Bernabeu or the Formula 1 and motorbike Grand Prix circuits of Valencia and Jerez.
Ayesa, a global provider of engineering and technology services, has been selected by Aramco to supervise the project and construction (PMC) of the new stadium in the city of Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia.
The 850,000 square metre stadium will include state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facilities, commercial and leisure areas, with a capacity of 45,000 spectators.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2026, with the aim of hosting the Asian Football Confederation’s Asian Cup in 2027. In addition, it is also bidding to host the 2034 World Cup, along with The Line, located in the new city of NEOM, and another fifteen or so venues in the Kingdom.
Ayesa has accumulated vast experience in high-level sports infrastructures, such as the recent remodelling of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium, La Cartuja in Seville and the Formula 1 and Motorcycle Grand Prix circuits in Valencia and Jerez.
