Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, has appointed Carlos Fernández Igualada as the new director of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), as part of its strategy to strengthen and specialise in this key sector.

BFSI is one of the five markets in which Ayesa’s IT business line operates, alongside Digital Administration and Healthcare, Energy and Utilities, Telco and Media, and Industry and Consumer.

With a solid track record in the financial and technology sectors, Fernández Igualada joins Ayesa’s management team with the mission of consolidating the company as a benchmark in the IT sector, developing new business capabilities, strengthening the value proposition and accompanying clients in their transformation and leadership processes.

An agricultural engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Carlos Fernández Igualada has more than 26 years of experience in financial services consulting and a distinguished international career in companies such as Capgemini and Accenture. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with more than twenty entities in fifteen countries, consolidating a global and strategic vision of the sector.

He will be responsible for defining and executing the growth strategy in the banking and insurance sectors, in line with corporate objectives. His duties include designing the commercial plan, developing business lines, leading digital transformation and AI initiatives, and coordinating sales and services teams, ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and secure solutions.

This appointment is part of Ayesa’s strategic commitment to consolidating its position as a leading player in technology, supporting its clients in an increasingly complex, regulated, and competitive environment.
