GSK joins the cluster as a Business Partner with a focus on connecting agents, generating knowledge and transforming the healthcare system.

Basque Health Cluster (BHC) and the biopharmaceutical company GSK have formalised a strategic collaboration agreement whereby GSK joins the cluster as a Business Partner, with the aim of strengthening collaborative innovation and actively contributing to the transformation of the Basque Country’s healthcare ecosystem.

The alliance is conceived as an open collaboration platform aimed at facilitating connections between the different agents in the healthcare system—industry, healthcare, research, public administration and the innovation network—and promoting joint initiatives that respond to the current and future challenges of the healthcare sector.

Within the framework of this agreement, the collaboration between the two organisations will enable them to leverage complementary capabilities, promote knowledge exchange, identify opportunities for collaboration and foster the development of initiatives with a real impact on the healthcare system and society.

One of the key vectors of this alliance will be the creation of spaces for meeting and strategic reflection aimed at promoting innovation in health in the Basque Country. Through these initiatives, Basque Health Cluster and GSK seek to contribute to the anticipation of trends, the exchange of high-value knowledge and the articulation of new dynamics of collaboration between the agents that make up the healthcare ecosystem.

The alliance will also help to strengthen the connection between the Basque healthcare industry and broader open innovation networks, promoting interaction between different profiles, disciplines and capabilities. This approach will further strengthen the culture of cooperation, the generation of shared knowledge and the development of initiatives with an impact on the evolution of the healthcare system.
