CIDETEC Energy Storage and Batalyse announce a strategic alliance to advance battery ageing prediction

The integration of PROTEO software into Batalyse’s Collect platform will enable more accurate forecasting of battery life
Batalyse, a specialist in advanced data processing for R&D and quality management, and CIDETEC Energy Storage, a renowned energy storage research organisation, are pleased to announce a new strategic alliance aimed at improving battery ageing prediction within R&D data management systems.
CIDETEC Energy Storage has more than 25 years of experience across the entire battery value chain, from material development to end application. Its comprehensive services include material validation, pilot-scale manufacturing, battery engineering and rigorous performance testing.
Batalyse provides software solutions for R&D and quality management, particularly in electrochemical systems. Its platform automates the collection, analysis and management of complex experimental data, optimising workflows in technologies such as batteries (safety testing), fuel cells, electrolysis and supercapacitors.
As part of this collaboration, CIDETEC Energy Storage’s AI-based ageing prediction software, PROTEO Prediction, will be integrated into Batalyse’s R&D data management tool, Collect. PROTEO enables accurate prediction of battery cell life by incorporating electrode characteristics and user-defined usage profiles. This integration will enable users to make more informed decisions through advanced ageing insights, directly within their data environments.
In addition, CIDETEC Energy Storage offers customised development of ageing models for any battery cell chemistry, while Batalyse continues to enrich its platform by integrating third-party and open-source technologies. This guarantees users a fluid and flexible ecosystem that supports innovation and accelerates progress towards sustainable energy solutions.
