Innovation Spaces: CIC biomaGUNE’s Molecular and Functional Imaging Platform Opens Its Doors
Thanks to the Innovation Spaces initiative, promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE), leading research infrastructures such as this can be showcased to the scientific community, businesses, public authorities and society at large.
For the third consecutive year, and thanks to the APTE initiative in collaboration with CIC biomaGUNE, on Thursday, 19 November at 18:00, and subject to prior registration, individuals and organisations will have the opportunity to visit the Molecular and Functional Imaging Platform, a European benchmark facility in the field of preclinical molecular and functional imaging.
Combining a range of experimental techniques — including Radiochemistry, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Optical Tomography (OT) — together with an animal facility accredited under the internationally recognised AAALAC quality standard, the platform represents the largest biomedical imaging technology infrastructure established to date, not only in the Basque Country but also in Spain as a whole. Its primary focus is the development of new biomedical applications based on nanomaterials.
Guided tours will take place on 19 November at 18:00, subject to prior registration.
