Innovation Spaces: Discover the Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Centre (CFAA) from the Inside

Thanks to the Innovation Spaces initiative, promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE), leading infrastructures such as these can be showcased to the scientific community, businesses, public authorities and society as a whole.

The Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFAA) was created as a new model of relationship between different research levels and nowadays industry applications. This center was promoted and funded by the Department of Economy development and Infrastructure of the Basque Country Government, Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the launching was supported by the frame of the Basque Country Technology Park . This Center is built as a mixed research center within the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and a consortium of companies, the aim is to work towards final applications and to generate new know-how in advanced manufacturing technologies.

The tasks done at the center are oriented to work and develop the ‘Manufacturing Readiness Levels’ 6-7 where validation tests in representative environments are required.

The guided tour will take place on November 18 or Thursday, from 10:00 to 12:00, subject to prior registration.
