i+Med inaugurates its new facilities ‘Gure Etxea’, The House of Scientists, in the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus

It is a state-of-the-art building that represents a qualitative leap in the group’s scientific research and development of biomedical technologies and will employ more than 200 people.
Located on the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park, it has more than 4,300 m2 of cutting-edge facilities.
The Lehendakari Imanol Pradales, who has conveyed that ‘our aim is to create the most suitable conditions so that there are more and more researchers and entrepreneurs’, presided over the inauguration accompanied by Mikel Jauregi, Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability and the Minister of Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez.
i+Med has inaugurated its new facilities ‘Gure Etxea’, the House of Scientists, on the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park. It is a state-of-the-art building that represents a qualitative leap in the group’s scientific research and development of biomedical technologies and will employ more than 200 people. During the inauguration, the Lehendakari announced that the Basque Government will deploy the Talent Strategy.

A SPACE FOR INNOVATION
More than 100 scientists and researchers meet at Gure Etxea. The meeting point for scientific talent and creativity in a unique natural environment that promotes research and technology applied to different medical fields such as traumatology, aesthetic medicine, ophthalmology and dermatology.
The building has been designed to provide an ideal working environment for the development and work of scientists with the latest technologies and spaces overlooking the natural surroundings of the Technology Park.
This space has significantly increased production and research capacity, and is also a meeting point for scientific cooperation and technological development in the sector.
A WORLD REFERENCE IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
With more than 4,300 m2 of state-of-the-art facilities, Gure Etxea reinforces i+Med’s position as a world leader in intelligent nanohydrogels.
The scientific cooperative has achieved this boost entirely with its own funds and local investment. They specialise in the controlled release of drugs and are a benchmark in personalised medicine and high added-value medical devices.
