INBIOMED argazkiaFrom 14 to 17 October 2014, the first “Flow Cytometry Training Course I” was held at Inbiomed´s facilities in the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park. The training was organized by Inbiomed in collaboration with the Fundación Instituto de Investigación Marqués de Valdecilla IDIVAL in Santander. This was a unique course to be held in this area, and was attended by twenty one participants coming from centres in the Basque Country and neighbouring communities, such as CIC biomaGUNE, Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, the Basque Transfusion and Human Tissue Centre (Centro Vasco de Transfusión y Tejidos Humanos, CVTTH), Tecnalia Research & Innovation, Donostia University Hospital, Cruces University Hospital, BioCruces Health Research Institute and Basque Foundation for Health Innovation and Research/B+I+O eusko fundazioa (BIOEF).
The course enabled the learning of a compendium of techniques and uses in advanced flow cytometry for application both in research and the clinic.
The success achieved in this first edition has motivated the organization to host a second course, scheduled to be held in the spring of 2015, which will incorporate new methods and applications.
