The Basque consultancy group presents its Strategic Plan 2025-2028 with the aim of increasing its workforce by 25% and maintaining its position as a social and healthy business model.

LKS Next, the largest technology consultancy group with Basque capital, has closed the 2024 financial year with a consolidated turnover of 73.8 million euros, representing a 19% increase over the previous year. This figure not only comfortably exceeds the 56 million euros set as a target in the 2021-2024 strategic plan, but also confirms the excellent evolution of the company.

Two other highlights of the year were the growth of the workforce and the improvement in profitability. LKS Next, a consultancy and technology group associated with the Mondragon Corporation, reached 807 professionals in 2024, after generating 59 new jobs during the year, an increase of 8% compared to 2023. Moreover, this is quality employment, as 97% of the workforce has a permanent contract.

In terms of profitability, LKS Next achieved a consolidated net result of 5 million euros, after allocating a further 2 million euros to collective variable remuneration, divided between members and non-members of the co-operative group. EBITDA exceeded 6.4 million euros, an increase of 48% compared to 2023. Despite the intense investment cycle in expansion and diversification of activities, the results reflect a very positive evolution. In addition, the company maintains a solid financial structure, with an independence ratio of 1.3.

The group’s accounts also reflect a firm commitment to social commitment, with more than half a million euros earmarked for solidarity funds aimed at regional development and support for other business projects.

In parallel, and beyond the collective distribution of results, LKS Next has implemented various initiatives to promote the attraction, development and retention of talent. In 2024, 41% of the workforce took advantage of teleworking measures. In addition, more than 160,000 euros have been allocated to canteen subsidies, progress has been made in the development of Bizinext as a healthy company model, and face-to-face flexibility policies have been promoted in the group’s different offices (Euskadi, Madrid, Cantabria and France), facilitating work-life balance.

This management model has proven to be effective both in terms of people and customer relations. The absenteeism rate stands at 2.54%, well below the average for the surrounding area. At the same time, customer satisfaction rates remain at very high levels, with values ranging from 82% to 94% in the different areas of activity, well above the sector average.

Growth continues: further acquisitions not ruled out

During its General Assembly, the managers of LKS Next presented the outlines of the new Strategic Plan 2025-2028, the main objective of which is to maintain sustained and profitable growth. The consulting and technology group has set itself the objective of exceeding 100 million euros in turnover and reaching a workforce of more than 1,000 professionals by the end of the period. ‘This plan, which we have called P100 by P1000, has been designed without considering possible inorganic growth that could complement and enhance our service offering,’ said Elena Zarraga, CEO of LKS Next.

During her speech at the Assembly, the CEO of LKS Next, Elena Zarraga, stressed that ‘this new strategic horizon not only seeks to prepare the organisation with equipment, tools and corporate services that reinforce and transform the current business and value propositions to reach 100 million euros’, but also that ‘LKS Next aspires to continue to be a benchmark socio-business project, with a humanist dimension, cooperative values and a positive social impact in the territories where we operate, generating stable, quality employment’. He stressed that ‘our strength must continue to be sustainable growth with impact’.

Among the most important milestones of the new strategic plan is the firm commitment to innovation and the creation of a Centre of Technological Excellence, the location of which is yet to be determined. This centre aims to become ‘the technological beacon’ of the group, oriented towards the development of cutting-edge products, services and technologies. In addition, LKS Next will strengthen its sector specialisation, geographic presence and capabilities in areas such as Data & AI, Data Spaces, Cloud, Quantum Computing, advanced software engineering and new cybersecurity solutions. These strategic investment lines are conceived as disruptive and differentiating levers to provide greater added value to its customers.
