Recognition from Euskalit for leading initiatives that strengthen female talent in science and technology
On 17 December, the Basque Country Technology Park received the Advanced Management Award in the Society category, presented by Euskalit, in recognition of its good practice ‘Promoting female talent and vocations in science and technology’. This award distinguishes organisations that, having previously achieved the Gold “A”, demonstrate exemplary and benchmark management practices (Role Model) within the Advanced Management Model (MGA).
The award was granted following an external evaluation carried out by the team appointed by Euskalit on 23 October and 6 and 7 November, a process in which the initiatives, results and progress of the Technology Park in its commitment to society and, in particular, to the promotion of female talent in scientific and technological fields were analysed in depth.
Among the aspects highlighted by the evaluation team were the reasons that make the Basque Country Technology Park a Role Model, such as its ongoing commitment to programmes that raise the profile of female role models in science and technology, the development of activities aimed at promoting STEAM vocations among young people, and active collaboration with educational agents, companies and entities in the ecosystem to promote balanced participation in these disciplines.
This recognition represents a new milestone for the Basque Country Technology Park in its strategy to contribute to social progress and talent development, reaffirming its role as a driving force in promoting a more innovative, inclusive and future-oriented society.
