The company is expanding its workforce by 25% and relocating after achieving a turnover of €11.5 million

The technology firm SaveFamily continues to consolidate its growth by relocating its offices and logistics centre to new premises at the Abanto Campus within the Basque Country Technology Park, from where it will strengthen its international expansion strategy and the development of new family-oriented technological products.

Founded in 2017 by Jorge Álvarez and Natalia Expósito, the company specialises in the development of smart devices, primarily geolocation watches for children and the elderly, designed to offer secure communication, parental control and safety features such as an SOS button and GPS tracking.

In less than a decade, SaveFamily has established itself as one of Europe’s leading brands in family wearable technology. Its products are sold at over 1,500 retail outlets in Spain, and the company has expanded its international presence to more than forty countries, consolidating its growth in markets such as France, Italy and Portugal.

The company’s progress is also reflected in its financial results. In 2025, SaveFamily closed the financial year with a turnover of around €11.5 million, representing a 21% increase on the previous year and continuing a trend of sustained growth following increases of 31% in 2024 and 60% in 2023.

This momentum has been accompanied by the launch of new devices and associated services, such as SIM card connectivity solutions and the evolution of its range of children’s smartwatches, which incorporate advanced communication features and digital assistance tailored to children.

The move to the new headquarters, which are 150% larger and much more modern, is a direct response to this phase of expansion. The facilities, located on the Abanto Campus, will enable the company to expand its team, strengthen its technological innovation division and centralise its corporate operations.

Furthermore, this move will have a direct impact on job creation in the area. SaveFamily has increased its workforce by 25% over the past year to support its growth and plans to continue recruiting technical and international staff in the coming months. The new headquarters will enable the company to strengthen its development, operations and business expansion teams, as it continues to gain a foothold in new markets and consolidate its internationalisation strategy.

For Jorge Álvarez, CEO of SaveFamily, this move represents a natural step in the company’s growth. “The company is currently undergoing a significant period of expansion. We needed a space that would allow us to continue growing, attract international talent and keep developing technology that provides families with security and peace of mind,” he explains.

The firm, which has over a million families among its users and a constantly growing multidisciplinary team, plans to continue expanding its international presence and strengthening its commitment to innovation in the sector of connected devices aimed at the family environment.
