Seven companies from the Basque Country Technology Park enter the APTE Top 100 Startups list

ATOMMODULAR, BIHAR BATTERIES, KERNOVA INNOVA, OLATU BERDEA MOBILITY, POLYKEY POLYMERS, SYNGOI and UNIVERSAL OMICS are the seven companies located in the Basque Country Technology Park that have been selected by APTE (Association of Technology Parks of Spain) to be included in its Top 100 Best Startups 2025

APTE once again highlights innovative talent with the publication of a new edition of the TOP 100 Start-ups, recognising the most outstanding companies operating within the Science and Technology Parks that form part of the association. These initiatives represent some of the most significant advances in strategic fields ranging from biotechnology to artificial intelligence.

This selection, promoted by APTE at the end of 2023, was created with the aim of highlighting entrepreneurs who are committed to innovation in these specialised environments and facilitating their access to financing and growth opportunities in the market.

Through this type of programme, APTE reaffirms its role as a driving force in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering synergies between start-ups, investors and other key players in the technology sector.

THE SEVEN COMPANIES FROM THE BASQUE COUNTRY TECHNOLOGY PARK IN THE TOP 100

These are the seven Basque companies that are part of the Top 100:

ATOMMODULAR: Its activity focuses on zero-emission construction. With a vision of offering a better life through sustainable housing, its value lies, among other things, in its commitment to meeting the sustainability criteria set for 2050, but bringing that date forward to 2030.

BIHAR BATTERIES: They design and manufacture sodium-ion batteries for stationary storage. By developing a patented battery system, their goal is to accelerate the widespread distribution of this innovative technology.

KERNOVA INNOVA: Created with the idea of using innovation and intelligent engineering to make industrial machines and processes more efficient and environmentally friendly. With their patented technology and premium suppliers, they specialise in transforming hydraulic machinery into fully electric machinery.

OLATU BERDEA MOBILITY: They manage mobility in a comprehensive manner: analysis, planning, implementation and monitoring. They apply artificial intelligence to find the most appropriate solution in each case. They bring together options such as public transport, micro-mobility solutions and access to public subsidies into a single service, creating an outsourced and tailored process.

POLYKEY POLYMERS: With extensive experience in organic and polymer chemistry, POLYKEY is an expert in the synthesis of materials for high added-value applications, including batteries, bioelectronics, bio-based materials, NIPU, block polymers, etc.

SYNGOI: Manufacturer of closed linear synthetic DNA using a patented, cell-free cGMP enzymatic process to meet the needs of advanced therapies. Using a multifactorial approach, Syngoi can manufacture cGMP DNA based on a specific project with unique characteristics.

UNIVERSAL OMICS: They work on the research and design of fast-acting and precise drugs. In Silico research using their own DRUP software for the effective and safe design of nutraceutical-based medicines.
