The Basque Country Technology Park hosts the IT24 Senior 2025 conference in Zamudio
This weekend, the Euskaltel building, located in the Basque Country Technology Park – Zamudio/Derio Campus, hosted the 2025 edition of IT24 Senior, one of the most prominent educational initiatives in the Basque technology sector.
The event was organised by the Basque Country Telecommunications Engineering Association (AITPV), in collaboration with the Euskaltel Foundation, which reinforces its commitment to innovation and the promotion of digital talent in the Basque Country.
For 24 hours non-stop, young people aged 16 and over took part in a marathon of creativity and entrepreneurship, working in teams to solve real challenges set by leading companies in the Basque Country, such as Petronor, the Sener Foundation and Euskaltel. The experience included mentoring sessions with experts, innovation dynamics and a competition that awarded the most disruptive solutions with €1,000 for the winning team.
The main objective of IT24 Senior is to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) vocations and develop key skills for today’s business world, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and the ability to transform ideas into tangible solutions. These skills are essential for tackling the challenges of digital transformation and innovation in the Basque Country.
The Euskaltel Foundation, which has been promoting educational and technological projects for more than 25 years, reaffirms with this initiative its commitment to connecting talent and technology, promoting inclusion and diversity in digital environments. Its programmes include actions aimed at employability, training in digital skills and support for projects that spark interest in science and engineering among the younger generations.
