The Basque Technology Park has joined the Euskadi Mobility and Logistics Cluster as a business agent.

The incorporation of the Technology Park into the Mobility and Logistics Cluster reinforces its commitment to intelligent, connected and sustainable mobility. From its role as a driving force for innovation, the Technology Park will contribute to boosting collaborative projects that integrate technology, talent and sustainability, aligning itself with the strategic objectives of the Cluster and the Basque industrial ecosystem.

Clusters are groupings that encompass the integral value chain of specific sectors in defined geographical areas. As a representative of the Mobility and Logistics sector in the Basque Country, these 131 members are organised in the segments of operators of people and goods; mobility infrastructures -such as ports, airports, railways and roads-; shippers or users of logistics and transport services; industry developing products, technologies, solutions and specialised services for the sector; and agents such as public administrations and research, training or knowledge centres.

During the last year, the Cluster has registered a growing demand from new members to participate in innovation projects as a way to improve competitiveness. In addition, they ask for support regarding markets, information on grants, information on the sector, support for promotion, etc. ‘Continuing with our work as a cluster and with the commitment of the Board of Directors that I chair, we have the opportunity and the responsibility to respond to the interest of more and more members. Our role is to promote cooperation towards more sustainable, efficient, intelligent and safe mobility and logistics, thus guaranteeing the competitiveness of the territory, for the benefit of the whole of society’, says Eduardo Lasa, president of the cluster. And he concludes: ‘We want to add new partners every day, because they are interested in us and because cooperation is a decisive growth factor’.

The latest partners to join the cluster are Mail Boxes (Transeuskadi Group), in the operator segment. Cargoffer, Erakar, Mutua Madrileña and Olatu Berdea Mobility, as supplier industry. And the Basque Country Technology Park, as a business agent.

In 2024, the cluster members achieved a combined turnover of more than 14 billion euros. 29% came from foreign markets and 3% went to innovation.
