The Basque Government’s Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Competitiveness has recognised and accredited the Basque Mobility and Logistics Cluster as a scientific-technological partner of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network, under the category of “intermediary agent between supply and demand”

Starting this month, the cluster will centralise its offices in Araba at the Araba Technology Park

The Mobility and Logistics Cluster now forms part of a network of 137 agents that represent the main core of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network which, working together, conducts R&D that contributes to the creation of wealth and well-being in the Basque Country.

In 2017, a total of 8,636 people, 44% of whom are women and 38% of whom hold doctoral degrees, worked at the network’s organisations, which invested €581 million in R&D. That same year, it had a €1.49 billion impact on the companies’ turnover, a figure that represents an increase of 197% compared to 2014.

“After more than 15 years since the creation of the Cluster, whose mission is to promote cooperation and innovation, this recognition is the step that consolidates our efforts in favour of a mobility that is safer, cleaner, and more efficient and sustainable for our region, not to mention more competitive”, explains Fernando Zubillaga, Cluster manager.
