The ‘Postcards to Space’ are back after orbiting the Earth alongside Jesús Calleja
The ‘Postcards to Space’ initiative, launched by Space United FC and brought to the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus by the company AVS, has returned after completing its journey on the same space mission as adventurer Jesús Calleja aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepherd rocket.
Space United recently confirmed that the drawings and messages sent by children from the Basque Country Technology Park — participants in the udalekus and relatives of Parke professionals — have orbited the Earth and have now returned with a special stamp certifying their passage through space.
An unforgettable experience that has not only sparked the enthusiasm of young explorers, but has also served to encourage vocations in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) areas.
The postcards have now been returned to the participating children, who can now look up at the sky and proudly say: my drawing has been in space!
