The Vice-President of the European Commission visits the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park
Jyrki Katainen, Vice-President of the European Commission for employment, growth, investment and competitiveness, has visited this morning the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park.
The Technology Park’s been the first destination of the Vice President in the visit he is making to the Basque country. The Minister for economic development and competitiveness, Arantza Tapia has received the European Vice President, together with the President of the Basque Technology Parks, Jose Miguel Corres.
Katainen has held a meeting with the Director General of SPRI, and representatives of Basque technological corporations and companies, after which the Vice-President of the Commission has moved to the Palacio Euskaduna where will participate in the European Conference “Citizen dialogue” with the Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu. Jyrki Katainen presents the 315.000 million euro investment Plan announced by the European Union, to promote growth and employment in Europe.
