On 25 January, the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park will host a road cycling event for schoolchildren organised by the Iturribero-Durana Cycling Club, which aims to train young cycling enthusiasts aged 6 to 18. Throughout its history, the club has trained professional cyclists such as Joseba Beloki, Aitor Kintana, Imanol Estévez, and more recently Oier Lazkano and Gorka Corres.

The race is aimed at children aged 6 to 14, with more than 120 schoolchildren expected to take part, belonging to the Prebenjamín, Benjamín, Alevín and Infantil categories, registered in one of the nine clubs in Álava (Arabarrak, Aratz, Amurrio, Llodiana, Zuia, Iñurri, Aranako, Foronda and Iturribero). Non-federated minors who wish to try this sport may also participate by registering on the day of the event, from 10:30 to 11:00, with the authorisation of a parent or guardian.

This activity is part of the Álava School Sports Calendar, under the supervision of the Álava Provincial Council and the Álava Cycling Federation, consisting of 30 events throughout the school year. All participants are registered with the CUDE School Sports Council.
