The “Zirkularrak-Circular” exhibition of circular products manufactured in the Basque Country lands at the Abanto Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park
The SEDE-EIC building on the Abanto Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park is hosting the travelling exhibition “Zirkularrak-Circular” which, organised by the public company Ihobe attached to the Basque Government’s Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, presents products aimed at eco-design and the circular economy manufactured in the Basque Country. The exhibition can be visited free of charge until 19 December 2023 in the SEDE-EIC building on the campus.
After having visited Vitoria-Gasteiz as part of the tenth anniversary of its designation as the European green capital; the FICOBA fairgrounds in Irún as part of the international circular economy congress Basque Circular Summit; the capital of Gipuzkoa, at the Cristina Enea Environmental Resources Centre; Bilbao in the municipal space Konekta-La Perrera; and having passed through the University of Deusto during FOROTECH 2023, the “Zirkularrak-Circular” exhibition has arrived in Abanto-Zierbena, where it will be on display until 19 December at the Abanto Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park.
The exhibition, which is free of charge and itinerant in nature, is presented to the public with the aim of exhibiting a wide variety of products manufactured in the Basque Country. These products have been created by applying eco-design methodologies with a focus on the life cycle, which has resulted in a significant reduction of their environmental impact.
During this stage of the travelling exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to explore more than a hundred products related to various value chains present in the Basque Country, covering sectors such as machinery, metallurgy, transport, furniture, automotive, consumer goods, chemicals, food, electrical-electronics and construction materials. This will provide visitors with a comprehensive view of the potential of eco-design in any business sector and will allow them to learn about the efforts and commitment of Basque companies in the field of the circular economy.
The Basque Country has a solid track record of more than two decades applying environmental criteria from the design and development phases of products. As a result, it leads the production of products and services designed according to ecological principles throughout the country, and is recognised as a benchmark in Southern Europe, especially in the industrial field.
The “Zirkularrak-Circular” exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 18:00 until 19 December.
