The “Good Governance” certificate is a solution that promotes professionalised corporate governance models adapted to the reality of each organisation.

Velatia, comprising Ormazabal, Ikusi, Supsonik, Idistek, Smarmec, Stratenergy and Wec, has been recognised by AENOR for its commitment to best practices in corporate governance, becoming the first organisation to obtain certification in the “Good Governance” solution.

AENOR’s “Good Governance” solution is structured in three main blocks. The first refers to the principles of governance, the second to the composition and functioning of the governing bodies, and the third to the tools for the evaluation and continuous improvement of the corporate governance model.

For Javier Ormazabal, Chairman of Velatia, ‘We are the first unlisted company to receive this Good Governance and Governance certificate, which highlights the good work we have been doing at Velatia for years, and is a reward for our commitment to transparency and social and corporate responsibility. It is an essential part of our DNA and our commitment for almost 60 years and for our future.’
