APTE participates in the first meeting of the European 3D Circular project, which will contribute to the creation of European talent in the digital and circular economy

The Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE), to which the Basque Country Technology Park belongs, is participating as a partner in the European project Digital Deep tech Driven Circular Economy (3D-CIRCULAR), funded by the European Union through the Digital Europe programme. This ambitious four-year project aims to create the next generation of educational and expert talent certification ecosystem to drive a circular and digital European economy.
3D-CIRCULAR brings together 32 partners from 14 European countries, including universities, research centres, standardisation bodies and companies, with the aim of offering specialised educational and training services through pioneering, modular programmes at master’s, doctoral and micro-credential level. These programmes will integrate sustainability, the circular economy, disruptive digital technologies and innovation, ensuring inclusive, accessible and high-quality training throughout the European Union.
The consortium’s first working meeting took place on 3 and 4 September in Lesbos (Greece), organised by the University of the Aegean, the project’s coordinating entity. During the meeting, the lines of work, the project’s governance and the plan for the development of training and certification programmes were established.
APTE will play a crucial role in the project by providing feedback on the needs of companies and R&D entities located in science and technology parks in terms of digitalisation and the circular economy, and by promoting access for professionals working in these entities to the training content that will be launched through the programme, with a special focus on micro-credentials. In this way, the programme’s content will incorporate the demands of companies, on the one hand, and on the other, will help to create experts in these subjects, who are essential for contributing to a more digital, circular and sustainable Spanish and European economy.
Through its participation, APTE reinforces the commitment of Spanish science and technology parks to sustainable innovation, contributing to the digital and green transformation of the economy and strengthening talent in Spain’s science and technology ecosystem.
