AR Racking certifies its carbon footprint calculation for 2022–2024
The OECC awards the CÁLCULO seal for 2022, 2023 and 2024
AR Racking has received the CÁLCULO seals from the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC) for registering the organisation’s carbon footprint calculations for 2022, 2023 and 2024. This recognition certifies that the company correctly measures and verifies its organisational emissions, in accordance with the regulatory requirements in force in Spain for scopes 1 and 2 established by Royal Decree.
In addition, AR Racking has gone a step beyond what is required by the regulations, as since 2022 it has also voluntarily calculated and verified scope 3 of its carbon footprint, thus including indirect emissions derived from its value chain. This initiative reflects its commitment to responsible environmental management and a comprehensive sustainability strategy.
This achievement confirms AR Racking’s commitment to rigorous and continuous measurement of its climate performance: three consecutive years recorded and verified. The CÁLCULO seal confirms the soundness of the GHG inventory and its official registration; it does not rate the magnitude of the footprint, but validates that it is being measured appropriately.
At the same time, the company is working on its decarbonisation plan, currently in the definition phase, with targets aligned with the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative). This framework guides the setting of science-backed reduction targets and reinforces AR Racking’s commitment to an orderly transition with real impact.
