Benefit concert in aid of the Columbus Foundation
The Columbus Foundation is organising a charity concert in the Basilica of Santa María del Coro, Donostia, on 12 April at 19:30, in order to fulfil its mission to treat children with rare genetic diseases.
It will be an extraordinary occasion to listen to the Orfeón Donostiarra and the organist Juan de la Rubia under the direction of the maestro, Sáinz Alfaro. The programme opens with Handel’s Zadok the priest, followed by Aita Gurea (Aita Madina), and Ave María by the most illustrious local maestro, José María Usandizaga. Several works will follow, including the Pie Jesu prayer, which leads us to the final section of the concert where the Resurrection is alluded to (Mahler II), the guide to heaven (Mahler VIII) and we enter paradise through Fauré’s Requiem, “In Paradisum “. https://entradas.fundacioncolumbus.org/selection/event/date?productId=10229191976694
