BIOLAN Microbiosensores receives the “ON Bizkaia” award for the best trajectory of a startup

Created by Beaz in 2014, the Bizkaia ON awards recognise the contribution of the projects and companies supported by the provincial department of Economic Promotion to the generation of economic activity and employment in the territory

In this edition, the Bizkaia ON award for the best start-up career went to BIOLAN Microbiosensores, a company based at the Zamudio-Derio Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park.

It is a technology-based company specialising in biosensorics. Founded in 2009, it has two objectives: the development of technologically advanced solutions and a global vocation.

They develop, manufacture and market solutions for the food and health industry. They do this by combining different technologies and knowledge, and producing in house.

From the Zamudio-Derio Campus, BIOLAN Microbiosensores has grown and has established itself in the national and international market; today it has 9 sales offices in America, Asia, Africa and Europe, exports 80% of its production to more than 60 countries, and is a leader in biosensors applied to the food sector.

Their objective for 2023 is to deepen their digital transformation, incorporating technologies that allow them to continue innovating in a disruptive way
