Campus Donostia dances and celebrates once again with Parkea Musik Fest
The vibrant atmosphere returned to Campus Donostia on Thursday, 1 October, with a new edition of Parkea Musik Fest, the sixteenth since the initiative was first launched. Music and entertainment took centre stage throughout the day, which featured performances by Los Veletas, Eusten and DJ Telmo Esnaola, while prizes were also awarded for the best homemade sponge cakes and the top table football “stars”
Swapping computers and laboratories for guitars and mixing decks has become something of a tradition at Campus Donostia at this time of year. Once again, Parkea Musik Fest provided the perfect opportunity to bid farewell to summer in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, transforming the outdoor area of the main building into a meeting point for people eager to share their talent and passion for music beyond their usual professional environment.

One of those participants was Telmo Esnaola, a professional at Multiverse Computing who has spent the last eight years combining his professional career with his work as a DJ. He first started DJing at the age of 18 while studying Computer Engineering, and his relationship with Multiverse Computing began when he completed his final degree project with the company. He later joined the organisation and has continued to develop both careers in parallel ever since.
Meanwhile, TECNALIA researcher Iñaki Ortego Isasa introduced Eusten, his personal musical project, which made its live debut at Parkea Musik Fest. A Telecommunications Engineer with a PhD and postdoctoral training in neuroscience in Germany, Ortego has spent the last decade working at TECNALIA in the field of neurotechnology, focusing on the use of electromagnetic waves to stimulate the nervous system.
The line-up was completed by Los Veletas, a band with two released albums that is also connected to TECNALIA through Elena Morales Areizaga, an industrial engineer in the technological centre’s mechanical testing laboratory and a member of the group for the past two years.
Alongside the music, there was also time for prize draws and, in particular, for two activities that continue to grow in popularity with each edition of Parkea Musik Fest. One was the sponge cake competition, won by Jon Kerexeta Sarriegi from Vicomtech. The other was the table football tournament, in which more than a dozen pairs competed throughout the day to demonstrate their skills. The overall winners were Iker Genua Gamio and Carlos Santiago Liceras from Cyber Surgery.

16 editions of PMF
Originally launched as part of the “A Challenge for the Parke” initiative, Parkea Musik Fest has become one of the flagship activities of BeParke Kluba, offering a different kind of space in which to share interests, discover the talents of the people who make up the Parke ecosystem, and strengthen the sense of belonging to an increasingly connected community.
The edition held on 1 October 2026 once again fulfilled that objective at Campus Donostia: bringing together the Parke community and showing that, behind engineering, research and technology, there is also remarkable talent on stage. It also served as a reminder to attendees that they have access to one of the most comprehensive programmes of cultural, sporting and leisure activities available through BeParke Kluba and its Corporate League.
