Energy transformation and cybersecurity join Mobility Lab’s Board of Trustees with Basquevolt and Eurocybcar

Álava, News

The Vitoria-Gasteiz Araba Mobility Lab Foundation continues to broaden private-sector participation on its Board of Trustees with the addition of Basquevolt and Eurocybcar. Following the recent addition of Michelin and Kapsch TrafficCom, the Foundation continues to bring on board leading organisations that contribute knowledge, technology and expertise in areas that are strategic to the future of mobility.

These latest additions strengthen two key areas for the transformation of the sector: the development of advanced energy storage technologies and cybersecurity applied to connected vehicles and mobility. Both are fundamental to building more sustainable, efficient and secure mobility.

With Basquevolt and Eurocybcar joining its Board of Trustees, Mobility Lab is broadening the range of expertise represented on the Board and strengthening its ability to promote innovation, experimentation and technology validation projects. Both organisations bring complementary perspectives on some of the major challenges that mobility will face in the coming years, from the development of new batteries to the integration of cybersecurity into connected and autonomous vehicles and mobility infrastructure in increasingly connected environments.

Basquevolt and Eurocybcar: energy and security for the new era of mobility

Basquevolt is one of the most significant industrial and technological initiatives launched in the Basque Country in the field of energy storage. The company is working on the development of next-generation solid-state batteries, a technology expected to improve key aspects of electric mobility such as range, safety, sustainability and charging times. Its addition to the Board of Trustees will strengthen Mobility Lab’s knowledge and capabilities in one of the areas with the greatest potential to transform the transport sector.

Eurocybcar, led by its founder and CEO, Azucena Hernández, is a pioneering company in CyberMobility, assessing and certifying the cybersecurity level of the mobility ecosystem: vehicles – cars, lorries, buses, vans, motorcycles, electric bicycles and more – Fleet Management Systems, websites/applications, Mobility Infrastructure and CSMS. What makes Eurocybcar unique is that it has developed its own proprietary technology.
