Euskaltel Carries Out Nearly One Hundred Interventions to Ensure Connectivity Throughout the Summer

Bizkaia, News

This campaign aims to address the traffic peaks that occur during the summer season and improve customer connectivity.

Euskaltel, the leading telecommunications operator in the Basque Country, has carried out nearly one hundred interventions across its mobile network in as many as 55 municipalities to ensure the capacity and quality of its services in response to increased traffic in coastal areas during the summer season, when population levels rise significantly.

Over recent months, Euskaltel has enhanced the capacity of its 5G and 4G networks through 38 and 48 interventions respectively. Each intervention has been designed to increase network capacity and improve effective coverage, particularly in coastal areas that experience higher visitor numbers during the summer months. To achieve this, the company has optimised base stations, increased network density and introduced new frequency layers to enhance signal transmission.

The summer campaign is designed to meet the growing demand for mobile data. In this way, Euskaltel continues to adapt its infrastructure to provide the best possible experience for its customers across the entire region.

These measures enable the Basque telecommunications company to address the seasonal traffic peaks associated with the summer period more effectively and to further strengthen a network prepared to support increasingly intensive usage, both by residents and by those visiting the Basque Country on holiday.

In this way, and in line with its strategy of excellence in service quality, Euskaltel responds to its customers’ current digital consumption patterns, ensuring they can enjoy increased use of video streaming, social media and cloud-based services during leisure periods and peak travel times, allowing them to stay connected and share their best moments with family and friends.
