The company, based at the Donostia Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park, has launched one of the largest funding rounds ever achieved by a European artificial intelligence company to expand its technology worldwide

Multiverse Computing, a company specialising in efficient artificial intelligence and based at the Donostia Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park, has announced a Series C funding round of up to €500 million. Led by international investment funds and leading strategic investors, the transaction values the company at €1.5 billion and further strengthens its position as one of Europe’s leading players in the AI sector.

The funding will enable the company to accelerate the development and international expansion of its artificial intelligence solutions, with a particular focus on Asia, the Middle East, Canada and the United States. It will also support new investments in research, development and AI-related infrastructure.

The technology developed by Multiverse Computing significantly reduces the size and computing requirements of artificial intelligence models while maintaining a high level of accuracy. As a result, these models can run faster and more efficiently, consuming less energy and operating directly on devices, networks or on-premises systems, without relying exclusively on large cloud data centres.

Founded in Donostia-San Sebastián, the company serves more than 100 international customers and works with organisations across industries including manufacturing, energy, finance, healthcare and telecommunications. Its customers and partners include companies such as Iberdrola, Bosch, Indra, PwC and Telefónica.

Since closing its previous funding round in 2025, Multiverse Computing has experienced rapid growth and now deploys its solutions across millions of devices and systems worldwide, including drones, satellites, cameras, vehicles and telecommunications infrastructure.

The new funding round reinforces the company’s commitment to developing artificial intelligence that is more efficient, sustainable and accessible for businesses and organisations around the world.
