26th edition of the Regional Development Agencies (RDA) Forum

The event will take place on 13 and 14 May at the Zamudio/Derio Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park

SPRI has organised the 26th edition of the Annual Forum of Regional Development Agencies (ADR), which will be held on 13 and 14 May at the Zamudio/Derio Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park. The event will address topics such as the European Competitiveness Fund, the EU’s Horizon Europe funding programme, and talent and entrepreneurship as drivers of innovation and growth.

The ADR Forum is one of the most important events for the exchange of ideas and experiences in the field of regional development in Spain. These meetings foster dialogue and collaboration between the various directorates-general and enable common challenges across all regions to be tackled jointly.

This year’s edition takes place in the Basque Country and will be opened on Wednesday 13 May by Joaquín Gómez, president of the regional agencies, and Jon Ansoleaga, director general of the SPRI Group. On that day, Jade Connoly, head of policy and projects at Eurada, will speak on the European Competitiveness Fund.

The following day will feature a presentation on the opportunities offered by the Horizon Europe programme, with the participation of Cristina Oyón, Deputy Director of the SPRI Group and Vice-President of Eurada. This will be followed by a round-table discussion on the value of data, featuring Nuria Peinado and Zuriñe Aramburu, Director of the ICT Department and Legal Advisor at SPRI, respectively.

This debate will be followed by another on talent and entrepreneurship, moderated by Amaia Romero from SPRI’s Entrepreneurship and Promotion Department, featuring Ane de Ariño, Director of Entrepreneurship and Internationalisation for the Basque Government; Cristina Fanjul, President of Ances and Director of CEEi Asturias; and Rocío Castrillo, Director of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Enisa.
