Exploring the CRA and NIS2 regulations: what they require and how to prepare

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) establishes a new European cybersecurity framework applicable to products with digital elements marketed within the European Union. Its impact will be particularly significant for manufacturers, software developers, integrators and technology companies, as it introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle and links them to access to the European market.

The CRA regulation is not limited to requiring more secure products by design; it also incorporates obligations relating to vulnerability management, security updates, technical documentation, user information and, in certain cases, the notification of incidents and actively exploited vulnerabilities.
