ITP Aero Expands Its Facilities at the Zamudio/Derio Campus to Meet Growing Demand from Commercial Engine Programmes

The €35 million investment will create up to 150 jobs and strengthen the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.

ITP Aero is expanding its manufacturing capabilities at its headquarters on the Zamudio/Derio Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park in response to the long-term growth in demand from the commercial aviation programmes of the world’s leading aircraft engine manufacturers. The company will invest €35 million in the expansion of its manufacturing facilities, creating up to 150 new highly skilled jobs and further strengthening its industrial footprint.

The investment reflects the continued growth of ITP Aero’s manufacturing activity across programmes for GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce. As an independent company, ITP Aero has continued to expand its participation in key commercial aviation programmes, supporting increasing production rates and long-term market demand.

To meet this growing workload, ITP Aero will expand its facilities at Parke by approximately 4,000 square metres. The expansion will incorporate state-of-the-art automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies, enhancing productivity, quality and operational efficiency while supporting the production of critical components for current and next-generation commercial engine programmes.

ITP Aero is currently a risk and revenue-sharing partner in the Pratt & Whitney GTF and Rolls-Royce Trent engine families and participates through long-term agreements in several GE Aerospace engine programmes.
