Young people from 20 first-year secondary schools in the Basque Autonomous Community have been working over the last few weeks on the challenge of creating a real CV adapted to one of the 34 technology companies taking part in the initiative. The winning proposals will be announced on 12 March.

The FP/Parke initiative, recognised with the STEAM Euskadi seal of the Basque Government’s Department of Education and Innobasque, is in its ninth edition this year with the aim of continuing to build bridges between technology companies and secondary school students.

On Tuesday 12 March, the Euskadi Technology Park will host the ninth edition of the FP/Parke initiative, in collaboration with the two main associations of Vocational Training centres in the Basque Country, HETEL and Ikaslan. Nearly 1,000 students from 20 centres in the Basque Country will meet at the Zamudio/Derio, Donostia and Vitoria-Gasteiz campuses to learn about the reality of technology companies and promote direct contact between the two groups.

The first part of the conference includes presentations and experiences on scientific-technological vocations and the importance of connecting vocational training with technology companies. This first session will also include the presentation of the winning proposal of the “challenge” posed to the schools, which consists of drawing up a Curriculum Vitae adapted to the real needs of one of the 34 companies located in the Park that are participating in the initiative this year.
During the previous weeks, the students have been working on a specific didactic unit in each centre, in which they have analysed the needs of one of the participating companies in order to make their CV proposal.

The second part will consist of a visit by the students to each of the companies for which they have developed the CV challenge, with the aim of getting to know first-hand the reality of the company and the scope of their proposals.
