The free festival will take place this Thursday, 2 July, from 14:30 onwards in the outdoor area beside the headquarters building at the Zamudio/Derio Campus.

Performances by Taykus, El Mentón and Bitter Bites will headline the event, which will also feature prize draws, exclusive discounts and the launch of a table football tournament.

The Zamudio/Derio Campus of The Basque Country Technology Park will host a new edition of Parkea Musik Fest this Thursday, 2 July. The festival celebrates the musical talent of people from across the Parke ecosystem and, on this occasion, moves outdoors to offer an even more open, engaging and participatory experience.

Organised as part of BeParke Kluba, the event originated from an idea developed within the “A Challenge for Parke” initiative and has become a popular occasion for strengthening the Parke community through music, leisure and culture, creating opportunities for people to connect beyond the professional environment.

Live music will once again take centre stage, with three acts featuring professionals from companies based at The Basque Country Technology Park. The line-up includes Taykus, delivering an electronic music set (ITP Aero); El Mentón, a pop-rock band (Haurreskola Txanogorritxu); and Bitter Bites, a classic rock group (Zucchetti).

El Mentón has a particularly interesting story, combining the performance of an established band with the launch of a new business within the Zamudio/Derio Campus ecosystem. The band’s lead singer, Gorka Álvarez, is the owner of Txanogorritxu Nursery School, which will open at the Technology Park next September.

Meanwhile, Bitter Bites features Begoña Cueto, a technical support specialist at Zucchetti, a company specialising in business software. Although she originally started out as a drummer, Begoña now plays bass guitar in the band, which has been performing for three years. Finally, Taykus is the stage name of Ivan Lodeiro, a parts inspector at ITP Aero, who performs electronic music and also produces his own tracks.

In addition to the live performances, attendees will be able to enjoy prize draws, special discounts and, as the main new feature of this year’s edition, the first-ever Parkea Musik Fest Table Football Championship, designed to encourage participation and enhance the festive atmosphere among members of the Parke ecosystem.

Parkea Musik Fest has evolved into an initiative that goes beyond music, establishing itself as a meeting point for people working across the campuses of The Basque Country Technology Park. The festival aims to foster personal connections, strengthen community spirit and provide new opportunities for leisure and culture in a creative and informal setting.

Admission is free of charge and open to everyone interested in attending.
