Euskaltel to Deploy Dedicated 5G and Fibre Infrastructure to Ensure Optimal Connectivity at Bilbao BBK Live 2026
As the festival’s exclusive connectivity partner, Euskaltel will deploy a dedicated infrastructure to ensure fast, stable and high-capacity communications throughout the event.
Euskaltel will serve as the technology provider and exclusive connectivity partner for Bilbao BBK Live, Bizkaia’s most iconic music festival. This partnership further strengthens the brand’s longstanding association with one of the most significant cultural and musical events in both the Basque Country and the wider European scene.
As part of this collaboration, the telecommunications company has reached an agreement with Last Tour, the festival organisers, to implement the technological solution that will ensure optimum connectivity performance during the event, which will take place on 9, 10 and 11 July. This new partnership marks a further step in the integration of advanced technological solutions into the festival experience.
As the exclusive connectivity partner, Euskaltel will deploy a dedicated infrastructure to guarantee fast, stable and high-capacity communications throughout the festival. Key technological solutions will include the installation of next-generation 5G coverage systems and network repeaters, delivered via a standalone 5G (5G SA) network with guaranteed service quality, connected through dedicated Euskaltel fibre (a private internet connection not shared with other customers, ensuring 100% guaranteed bandwidth). This infrastructure will provide seamless, high-speed connectivity for the thousands of attendees expected at Kobetamendi, while also strengthening the festival’s internal operations.
In addition, Euskaltel will provide the organisation with an exclusive corporate network for the event’s production, operations and communications teams through the deployment of a dedicated rack equipped with internet connectivity via dedicated fibre-optic infrastructure.
The partnership highlights the strategic role of telecommunications in major cultural events, where connectivity has become a key element not only in enhancing the audience experience but also in ensuring the smooth technical and operational running of the event.
