San Sebastián to showcase the most advanced technologies for industry
- The 19th Machine Tool and Manufacturing Technology Conference will be held at Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park from 12 to 14 June 2013.

From 12 to 14 June, Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park will host the 19th Machine Tool and Manufacturing Technology Conference, which the AFM sectoral association has been organising since 1976. The Conference will address the most cutting-edge areas and of great interest in the metal and machining field. It will likewise be an excellent forum for the participants to network and look for future ventures, where entrepreneurs, technicians, researchers, scientists, students and academic staff will be able to share their experience.
Manufacturing technologies aimed at aeronautics and the automotive industry, design and manufacture of large machines and large parts, sustainability, process and machine intelligence, and improving the machining and deformation processes are some of the areas on which papers will be given during the conference. Monographic sessions focused on manufacturing composites and filler technologies will be held for the aeronautics and automotive sectors, which are good clients of the manufacturers of the sector.
The conference will analyse those technologies that will enable manufacturers to be more competitive by cutting costs, increasing productivity, improving accuracy, and implementing sustainable practices both in the design and production phases.
