The Basque Country Technology Park has been awarded the Arizmendiarrieta Prize for its people-centred approach
The award recognises its commitment to participation, collaboration and continuous improvement as the cornerstones of management in the public sector
The Basque Country Technology Park has been awarded the Arizmendiarrieta Prize in the Public Bodies and Organisations category, a recognition that highlights its management model based on people’s involvement, teamwork and active listening.
Beyond the symbolic nature of the award, the distinction reinforces an approach that places people at the heart of its activities and promotes participatory decision-making processes. This approach, characterised by collaboration and constant improvement, has become one of the park’s hallmarks in its recent development.
The organisation highlights that the award reinforces the path taken towards an inclusive and open model, capable of adapting to current challenges without losing sight of collective development. In this sense, the recognition not only endorses the work carried out to date, but also encourages further progress along the same lines, with an eye on the future and new opportunities for improvement.
The jury’s decision thus highlights the importance of initiatives that promote more participatory environments within the public sector, in a context where organisational innovation is key.
Alongside the Basque Country Technology Park, other organisations have also received awards, including the company Parke Biolan in the SME category.
ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Arizmendiarrieta Sariak Awards aim to recognise companies and non-profit organisations that, having their headquarters or a place of business in Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa or Navarre, stand out for their application of the values and/or management practices recommended in the participatory inclusive business model specific to their category.
They were launched in 2020 in the Basque Autonomous Community (BA) and Navarre, and were subsequently extended to each of the provinces of the BA.
