The Basque Country Technology Park hosts the presentation of the PWN Bilbao Equality Scorecard
PWN Bilbao held a conference at the Zamudio/Derio Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park, marking the end of a decisive year for its Think Tank, a collective workspace aimed at promoting gender equality through collaboration between institutions and companies.
According to the organisation, the programme has consolidated a model of cross-sector cooperation that demonstrates that ‘equality advances when institutions and companies row in the same direction’. During the meeting, the milestones achieved throughout the year were reviewed and the challenges that will shape the future agenda were addressed.
Almost a year ago, PWN Bilbao began this line of work together with its partner companies with the aim of developing a pioneering Equality Scorecard in the Basque Country. The organisation pointed out that the result obtained marks ‘a before and after’ in the management of female talent and in the construction of more balanced organisations, by providing a measurement and monitoring tool applicable to the business world.

The conference was attended by Elixabete Etxanobe, Deputy General of Bizkaia, and Ainara Basurko, Deputy for Economic Promotion, who accompanied the presentation of the progress made and the definition of the next lines of work for Think Tank 2026. The objectives set include expanding business participation, evaluating the impact generated and transferring conclusions to sustainable corporate policies.
PWN Bilbao highlighted the involvement of management teams and partner companies, emphasising that their commitment has been decisive in the development of the project and the consolidation of the results achieved.
With this closing event, the network reaffirms its role as a driving force for equality in the Basque Country, positioning public-private collaboration as a strategic axis for advancing the transformation of the business fabric and promoting female leadership.
