The 35th edition of Basque Business Night, organised by Fundación Empresa Vasca y Sociedad/Gizarte eta Euskal Enpresa Fundazioa, has presented its annual awards.
Added Value Solutions (AVS), a company based at the Basque Country Technology Park, received the award in the Business Innovation category. In the words of the jury, Added Value Solutions (AVS) is an example of the Basque industry’s ability to transform scientific knowledge and technological research into high-value-added industrial solutions. Specialising in precision engineering and advanced mechatronic systems, the company has successfully positioned itself in highly complex international technology projects in demanding sectors such as space, scientific research and large-scale technological infrastructures.
Its track record has been shaped by a strong commitment to innovation and the development of bespoke solutions capable of addressing highly complex scientific and industrial challenges. From the Basque Country, AVS has developed its own capabilities in the engineering, design and manufacture of advanced systems, taking part in projects that demand the highest levels of precision, reliability and technological expertise.
Founded in 2006 by Miguel Ángel Carrera and Jon Osorio, AVS has succeeded in placing its technology at the heart of some of the world’s most significant scientific and space programmes. Its milestones include its participation in NASA’s Perseverance mission, which took instruments developed by the company to Mars, as well as the launch of LUR-1, its first satellite, in 2024. The company takes part in major international research projects such as ITER and is developing new solutions for in-orbit satellite servicing and hadron therapy applications.
