Innobasque launches an “Innovation Training” catalogue tailored to the new challenges facing the Basque Country
The training programme for the second half of the year, aligned with the Basque Innovation Agency’s new 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and the Euskadi 2030 Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (PCTI 2030), offers practical courses designed to anticipate change, accelerate innovation and connect organisations with opportunities across Europe.
The “Innovation Training” programme is aimed at stakeholders within the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation System (SVCTI). In addition, participating organisations that are members of Innobasque will be able to apply for an exclusive support service to facilitate the implementation of the knowledge acquired within their organisations.

The Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, has adapted its “Innovation Training” programme to address the new challenges and opportunities facing the Basque Country in an increasingly competitive international environment. This updated programme is aligned with its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and the priorities set out in the Basque Government’s Euskadi 2030 Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (PCTI 2030). The renewed training offer translates three priority areas of Innobasque’s new strategic framework into practical capacity-building: foresight, innovation promotion and European positioning.
The catalogue brings together nine courses structured around these three complementary areas, offering organisations a pathway that ranges from defining a strategic direction to generating impact and engaging with European research, development and innovation (R&D&I) networks and programmes.
“Innovation Training” is aimed at the various stakeholders of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation System (SVCTI) and provides practical, action-oriented learning opportunities to help organisations across the Basque Country strengthen capabilities, drive innovation and generate impact.
Furthermore, member organisations of the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, that take part in the training programme may apply for an exclusive support service specifically designed to help them translate what they have learned into their organisational reality.
From training to action
The courses combine methodologies, tools and hands-on experiences to enable participants to apply their learning directly to the real challenges faced by their organisations.
The programme covers capabilities that are particularly relevant for innovation in today’s environment, including the development and monitoring of innovation roadmaps, collaboration with other stakeholders, anticipation through future scenarios, the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate innovation processes, scaling initiatives, measuring impact, and positioning and participating in European R&D&I projects.
The first area of the programme, “Anticipating and Guiding Innovation”, helps organisations define where they want to focus their efforts and prepare for transformative scenarios. The courses explore innovation roadmapping, the development of sustainable collaborations, and the use of future scenarios to test decisions and strengthen adaptability.
The second area, “Accelerating Innovation and Creating Impact”, focuses on turning opportunities and challenges into solutions and results. This block addresses the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate innovation processes and facilitate scaling, as well as the measurement and management of the impact generated by projects.
Finally, “Connecting Innovation with Europe” seeks to strengthen organisations’ ability to position themselves within international ecosystems, build partnerships and access collaboration and funding opportunities. It includes training on consortium positioning, the preparation of competitive Horizon Europe proposals, and the management and reporting of European projects.
Adaptable to the needs of each organisation
Although the nine courses form a coherent learning journey, organisations may choose to participate in those training activities that best match their needs and stage of development.
In this way, the catalogue enables organisations both to deepen expertise in a specific capability and to progressively build a more comprehensive innovation pathway: anticipating change, guiding innovation, transforming opportunities into results and expanding their reach through stronger connections with Europe.
