Hyperloop is a new means of ground transportation that travels at unprecedented speeds and zero direct emissions
ITP Aero has partnered with Zeleros to support the development of a zero-emission propulsion system for hyperloop, a new mode of transport consisting of capsules levitating at high speeds inside low-pressure tubes.
Zeleros is a Spanish deep tech company developing the scalable hyperloop for intercity passenger and freight transport. The hyperloop travels over land at unprecedented speeds and generates no direct emissions. Zeleros is leading the design and construction of hyperloop vehicles that reduce infrastructure costs per kilometre and operate at pressures similar to aviation.
The aerodynamic propulsion system, an essential element of the Zeleros proposal, is integrated into the vehicle and is powered by a 100% electric propulsion system. This technology is key to minimising the need for linear motors along the runway and reducing infrastructure cost, facilitating the scalability of hyperloop for global deployment.
ITP Aero is developing new zero-emission propulsion technology, building on its expertise in the development of ultra-efficient gas turbine, electric and hydrogen-powered engine technologies. Exploring new avenues for disruptive mobility with Zeleros is part of ITP Aero’s sustainability and innovation efforts, aligned with its plans to decarbonise aviation.
