ablo Fernández-Santos, the recently appointed CEO of BASQUEVOLT, has held a first informal meeting with Mikel Jauregi, the Basque Government´s Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability. The constructive tone of the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the company´s next steps and to reaffirm Basquevolt´s commitment to Basque industry and European technology.
The meeting marks the beginning of a new period for the company, after securing a key funding milestone and consolidating agreements with global manufacturers and local companies. BASQUEVOLT has secured an injection of 10 million euros with the backing of Ekarpen, Stellum and CDTI Innvierte. In this new cycle, BASQUEVOLT is further strengthening its industrial roadmap focusing on the Basque Country, and is preparing to take its first productive steps with a differential technology based on solid-state batteries.
Pablo Fernández, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in BASQUEVOLT since the company was founded, has now taken over as CEO, with the mission of spearheading the company’s industrial growth and maintaining its technological advantage. He brings a vision focused on the industrial application of technology and its integration into the value chain of the automotive, small mobility, aeronautics and stationary storage sectors, amongst others.
For BASQUEVOLT, the focus of this new period will be to roll out the company’s commercial strategy and to consolidate its business model, ensuring its competitiveness and furthering its collaboration with companies both worldwide and in the Basque Country, where it is looking to enhance existing relations and build on partnerships with the local industrial ecosystem.
