SPRI and Euskadi Technology Park receive the Golden A, Basque Advanced Management Award from EUSKALIT
In his closing speech, the Basque Councillor Mikel Jauregi said that ‘innovation, internationalisation and decarbonisation are as important for the competitiveness of Basque companies as having a solid advanced management system’.
EUSKALIT has recognised a total of 3 organisations with the ‘Basque Advanced Management Award’, has awarded 18 A awards and another 54 organisations have received the Advanced Management Diploma.
The Basque Advanced Management Award ceremony was held, which is awarded annually by the Basque Government through EUSKALIT, the foundation for the promotion of Advanced Management in Basque organisations.
José Luis Díaz Manrique, president of the EUSKALIT board of trustees, opened the gala by reaffirming ‘our mission to offer support to companies and organisations to improve their management and become more efficient, competitive and sustainable’.
The awards were then presented by the councillors Mikel Jauregi (Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability), Nerea Melgosa (Welfare, Youth and Demographic Challenge), María Begoña Pedrosa (Education) and Alberto Martínez (Health).
Both SPRI – Basque Business Development Agency and the Euskadi Technology Park have been awarded the Golden A, the Basque Advanced Management Award, which recognises the most advanced organisations in their management practices and which seek the balanced satisfaction of all their stakeholders, customers, employees, shareholders and society in general.
As the councillor Mikel Jauregi stressed in his closing speech, ‘innovation, internationalisation, new technologies, decarbonisation and attracting talent are factors of competitiveness for companies and organisations in the Basque Country that we have to work on with an eye to the future. However, these factors must be underpinned by a solid system of advanced management. That is why EUSKALIT’s work in this field is fundamental, with more than 30 years of experience helping companies to evolve towards more advanced management models and, therefore, to be more competitive’.
The companies awarded in this edition, including both the Euskadi Technology Park and SPRI, use the Advanced Management Model as a reference to evaluate and improve their management system, and have been awarded this prize after receiving an external evaluation carried out by members of the EUSKALIT Evaluation Club.
Aitor Urzelai, General Manager of SPRI, has indicated that ‘this recognition guarantees that SPRI – Basque Business Development Agency manages the interests of Basque companies in the most excellent way possible, and this is thanks to each and every one of the people at SPRI and their daily work and commitment’.
For her part, Itziar Epalza, general manager of the Euskadi Technology Park, said that the Gold A means ‘reaching a new milestone in our permanent commitment to excellence; a milestone that, as well as recognising the effort and dedication of the Parke team, encourages us to continue working along these lines, because we know that a project like ours only makes sense if we provide the best service to our companies’.
