STEAM Sare is offering 63 science and technology activities to pupils for the 2026–2027 academic year
The new edition features 10 new additions, including a quantum physics activity organised by EHU Quantum, and new career guidance initiatives launched by Euskotren and Metro Bilbao, partner organisations of the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque
The STEAM Sare network will offer a total of 63 science and technology activities aimed at Basque schoolchildren during the 2026–2027 academic year. The initiative, promoted by the Basque Government’s Departments of Science, Universities and Innovation and Education, and coordinated by the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, aims to foster interest among Basque young people in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
The fifth edition of the STEAM Sare catalogue is now open for pre-registration, allowing interested schools to apply to take part in any of the 63 activities organised by a total of 44 organisations. Currently, around a hundred organisations, including companies, technology and research centres, institutions, universities and other players in the innovation ecosystem, form part of STEAM Sare.
The activities included in the catalogue will take place throughout the coming academic year and will enable students to engage with scientific and technological disciplines in a practical and experiential way. In total, the programme is structured into three categories: 38 short-term activities, 8 longer-term programmes and 17 specific STEM-oriented initiatives.
