Nearly 60 companies and public entities are already part of Robotekin, the cooperative ecosystem between companies and agents linked to the Robotics and Automation sector.
The Basque Country Technology Park has joined ‘Robotekin’, the ‘hub’ of the Basque Association of Robotics and Automation, which is already up and running and currently has around 60 companies and public entities working in these technologically advanced sectors.
In the words of the representatives of Robotekin, the Basque Country Technology Park ‘plays an important role in strengthening the relationship and the transfer of technology and knowledge between companies, universities and organisations, as well as promoting proactive work in attracting and accompanying business projects in the Basque Country, especially in those sectors and markets aligned with the RIS3 smart specialisation strategy of the Basque Country, which includes Smart Industry’.
For her part, Itziar Epalza, General Manager of the Basque Country Technology Park, said that ‘as a cooperative ecosystem between companies and agents linked to the Robotics and Automation sector, Robotekin is a strategic ally for the Technology Park, so our membership is aimed at strengthening this alliance as much as possible’.
Robotekin
All the members of this initiative work to be ‘an inclusive opportunity for society based on trust’. To this end, the aim of Robotekin is based on different strategic points; to be a driver of international talent, investors and quality employment, to act as an R&A startup accelerator, to be specialised trainers for professional vocations, to raise awareness and recognise good practices, to promote new technological and business projects, to increase the value services available to industry by responding to real needs, to be a bridge between local and international agents and to improve competitiveness.
