The Board of Directors of Ayesa Digital has approved the appointments of Ucín as Chairman and Baraza as the company’s Chief Executive Officer
The company’s highest governing body comprises nine directors and will be supplemented by new independent members
A new phase begins to consolidate the company as one of Europe’s leading digital service providers
The first Board of Directors meeting of Ayesa Digital has been held, following the recent completion of its acquisition by its new shareholders, thus marking the start of a new phase aimed at consolidating the company as one of Europe’s leading digital service providers.
The Board of Directors is now composed of nine members:
- Iñigo Ucín, Chairman, acting in an independent capacity
- Unai Rementeria, non-executive director, representing the BBK Banking Foundation
- Javier Aldazabal, non-executive director representing the BBK Banking Foundation
- Jon Ander de las Fuentes, proprietary director, representing Indar Kartera (Kutxabank)
- Koldo Etxeberria, proprietary director for Indar Kartera (Kutxabank)
- Amaia del Villar, proprietary director, representing Finkatuz (Basque Government)
- Jaione Ganzarain, non-executive director representing Finkatuz (Basque Government)
- Jon Urresti, non-executive director, representing Vital Fundazioa
- Joseba Lekube, non-executive director representing Teknei.
The company’s highest governing body will be completed by new independent members.
Non-executive Chairman and CEO
At its first meeting, the Board of Directors approved the appointments of Iñigo Ucín as Non-executive Chairman of Ayesa Digital, and Manuel Baraza as CEO of the company.
Iñigo Ucín has extensive experience in industry and management, having served as Chairman of the General Council of the Mondragón Corporation; Vice-Chairman of the Mondragón Corporation (Industrial Automation and Machine Tool Division); and Managing Director of Danobat, amongst other roles. He was also Chairman of the Governing Council of Mondragón University.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Deusto and also completed a Master’s degree in Innovation Management at the same university.
Manuel Baraza, for his part, has over 35 years’ experience in the information technology sector, more than 25 of which he has spent at Ibermática and Ayesa Digital, where he has held, among other roles, as Commercial Director, International Director, Industry Director, Energy and Utilities Director, Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and, more recently, Global Chief Operating Officer (COO).
A graduate in Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, he specialises in information technology applied to industry.
